Joe Gore was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, where he earned his reputation as an artist. Between school and football practice, he spent his spare time working on art projects, and during his senior year, he was even commissioned to paint a classroom mural. His mural, paintings and drawings often received awards and recognition in local newspapers, so after graduating Joe set out for a career in graphic design. 

     He started his first shop in Evansville designing, lettering, and hand-painting signs for local businesses. Then in 1988, he moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, making his first break into the awning industry. Using his sign experience to do awning graphics, Joe eventually mastered all aspects of the industry – from design to construction, installation, and care – and just as they had in Evansville, the Bowling Green community quickly recognized the quality and precision of his work. 

     In 2005, Joe established USAwning Company as a one-man operation, but year by year, person by person, he built his business into the incredible team it is today. 

     Today, our team comprises six full-time employees, and over fifteen years, we’ve built thousands of customized awnings, patio covers and screen rooms with only the highest quality materials from partners like Sunbrella, Cooley-Brite, Herculite, Serge Ferrari, and Ballew’s Aluminum. We’re proud to be the leading awning provider in the Bowling Green area, and we promise to continue providing elegance, class and distinction for years to come.
